I was about ten years old and my whole family watched the event on a black and white TV. I thought it wasn’t real and my sister kept telling me that this was real life. I couldn’t believe that someone actually walked on the moon and kept asking if they stepped in an eye or nose or mouth because we always looked for the man in the moon. I love to see the facial features when I look at a full moon so I though the man in the moon was real and always looked down on me to help keep me safe and light up the darkness (I hated the dark even as a young child.)

Walking on the Moon
Blog Prompt: Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon on this date in 1969. Write a description of walking on the moon or tell us about this event if you remember it.
